RANCHO SEC0 NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION - GENERIC LETTER 83-28 ITEM 1.1 POST TRIP REVIEW By letter dated April 15, 1985, we transmitted to you our Safety Evaluation Report (SER) on the results of our review of the information you provided for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station in response to Item 1.1 of Generic Letter 83-20 (Post Trip Review). In our letter, we noted that you had not submitted a systematic safety assessment program to assess unscheduled reactor trips (SER Section III E). We further noted that except for this, we found your Post-Trip Review Program and Procedures for Rancho Seco acceptable.

By letter dated May 31, 1985, you provided the requested information. We have reviewed the information and found it acceptable. This completes our review of Item 1.1 of Generic Letter 83-28. Our re"ised SER is enclosed for your information.
