This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated June 12, 1986, which transmitted Revisinn 6 to the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant Emergency Plan.

We have completed our review of Revision 6 to the Emergency Plan and have detennined that it is consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and does not decrease the effectiveness of the plan. However, it is noted that the replacement page provided for Page 1-3, Section 1.2, does not include either a page number or revision number.

Be advised that 10 CFR 50.54(q) also requires prior NRC approval of any rhanges to your plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the plan. However, if your safety review assures that there is no decrease in emergency preparedness effectiveness, then changes to the plan may be made and implemented without prior NRC approval. In all cases, you must furnish copies of each change to the NRC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q). Also, any changes to the Energency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E, Section V.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
