Yin of this- office and Mr. J. R. Fair of NRC-IE on November 13 1986, through February.26,1987,-of activities at Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant authorized by NRC Operating License No. DPR-43 and to.the discussion of our findings with you and your staff ~at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed copy of our-inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. . Within these/ areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and interviews with personnel. We are releasing this report at this time for your infonnation. Your response to our findings regarding. implementation of actions set forth in IE Bulletin 79-14 was presented at an Enforcement Conference at the Regional Office on February 13, 1987, and at a followup meeting on February 26, 1987. You are requested within thirty days of the date of this letter to formally ' submit your program to correct these findings. In the future, the NRC will evaluate the results of your program in order to determine the appropriate enforcement actions. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter, the enclosures, and your response to this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
