This letter is a request for correction of Notice appearing in i

Volume 51, Number 108 (Thursday, June 5,1986) of the Federal Register. In her Memorandum and Order regarding Informal Hearings in the matter of on-site disposal of byproduct material by the Toledo Edison Company, Administrative Judge Helen F. Hoyt listed those " elected officials, municipalities, and

) others" who had petitioned to intervene and had been granted limited

! appearance status. Included with the identification of these elected

officials, municipalities and others was a brief description of the stated i reason for petition to intervene.

The Ohio Radioactive Materials Users Group's season for petition was INCORRECTLY stated as "... opposing analysis of possible impacts..."

This is diametrically opposed to the purpose stated in the April 10, 1986 letter requesting permission to intervene. The reason stated in the letter was an "... intent to perform an independent analysis..."

We are now requesting that a correction be printed in a subsequent issue of the Federal Register. The purpose of this request is that if the original, incorrect version is allowed to stand, it will be a detriment to 3 ORMUG's reputation and will impair ORMUG's ability to participate in future j matters concerning use and disposal of radioactive materials.
