Box 30026 Lansing, Michigan 48909 Re: Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant NPDES Permit No. Ml 0005827 Boiler Blowdown

Dear Mr. Zugger:

At 1100 hours0.0127 days
0.306 hours
0.00182 weeks
4.1855e-4 months
on October 2, l984, approximately I,000 gallons of water used in hydrostatic testing of the plant heating boiler after overhaul was discharged through normal channels to Lake Michigan.

Although technically not boiler blowdown which is normally dischar'ged in this same manner the water was sampled and found to contain l.3I5 ppm iron.

Hydrostatic testing of the unit after repair was the probable cause of this iron level.
