Dear Mr. Morley:
RE:
NPDES Permit No. MI 0005827 Cook Nuclear Plant Bridgman, Michigan Between the hours of 0745 1324 and 1651 1955 on February 20,
- 1991, and 0022 and 0750 on February 21,
These resulted from an inoperable pH
- meter, which was discovered during the daily calibration check on February 21.
The Turbine Room.Sump was isolated immediately upon discovery and a
job order was written to repair the pH meter.
In the interim, discharges from the Sump are being manually sampled for pH.
An estimated 700,000 gallons of water were released prior to the sump isolation.
We have no reason to believe that any effluent limitations were exceeded during this period.
Very truly yours, g~g/Su&~
