Cook Nuclear Plant NPDES Permit No. MI 0005827 On November 9,
- 1992, an internal review of our records revealed that the first quarter 1992 samples for Stormwater Outfall 001S had not been collected.
Part I, Section A.
5.
of the permit requires that samples be collected quarterly, for Total Copper and Total Zinc analyses.
In 'rder to prevent recurrences of this event, the quarterly sampling requirement has been added to our tracking system used for other NPDES analyses.
This computerized tracking system alerts the user that the sample is due to be collected, and will continue to appear as due until the records are signed off as completed.
This event will also
. be documented in our annual submittal of Stormwater monitoring results, due to the MDNR on March 1, 1993.
- Second, third and fourth quarter 1992 samples were collected per the permit requirements.
By copy of this
- letter, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is notified pursuant to the requirements of Appendix B, Part IIg Nonradiological, Environmental Protection
- Plan, Section 3.2.
