"10 CFR 50.62 ATHS Rule," dated April 18, 1988 Reference 1 provided the Supply System response to a request for information with regard to ATHS modifications at HNP-2. Reference 2 provided questions to the Supply System as a result of the staff's review of reference 1 and requested response within 30 days of receipt (May 25, 1988). The Supply System is presently in the process of installing the ATHS ARI modification. However, recent design reviews have caused some changes in the design and supporting documents. As a result of this impact, meeting the May 25, 1988 schedule with an adequate, finished response is not possible.
Accordingly, in a phone conversation on May 17, 1988 between Mr. R. B. Samworth (NRC) and P. L. Powell (SS) this situation was reviewed and a conclusion reached that submittal by June 24, 1988 would be sati sfactor y.
