Letter, G02-87-0090, GC Sorensen to NRC, "Request for Amendment to Operating License Condition 16, Attachment 2, Item 3(a)",

dated March 12, 1987 As revi sed by Amendment No. 25, the subject License Condition requires the Supply System to "...implement (install and have operational) a wide range suppression pool level monitoring system which satisfies the Category 1 equipment specif'ications in accordance with Regulatory Guide 1.97, Revision 2, prior to startup following the second refueling outage." In the reference letter, the Supply System requested a deferral unti 1 startup following the third refueling outage on the basis of test failures, while on a parallel path continuing to put forth our best efforts to successfully accomplish an accelerated test/acceptance program. As required, this equipment has now been installed, tested, and declared operable, and the Supply System considers this License Condition fully satisfied. Additionally, to confirm our previous informal discussions, the original request for amendment contained in the reference letter is hereby withdrawn.
