Gentlemen:

The purpose of this letter, and its enclosure, is to respond to the referenced amended Notice of Violation and Notice of Pr'oposed Imposition of Civil Penalties.

Our reply, pursuant to 10CFR2.205, consists of this letter and our check in the amount of $ 59,500.00 for full payment of the imposed civil penalties.

The WNP-2 Project has initiated a comprehensive evaluation and corrective action program as a prerequisite to performing any additional safety related work.

Reference 2 describes the overall program con'cept. We believe the continuing implementation of this program provides a high level of assurance for full I

compliance with our Construction Permit and Safety Analysis Report.
