SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR THE MONTH DOCKET NO.: 50-446 l UNIT: CPSES 2  :

DATE: 02/14/1994  !

COMPLETED BY: Janet Hughes TELEPHONE: 817-897-5331 l l

1 MONTH : JANUARY 1994 l DAY TIME REMARK / MODE 01/01 0000 Unit started month in MODE 1.

01/06 The electric governor, governor booster servo motor, motor operated potentiometer and normal voltage regulator for Unit 2 Emergency Diesel

, Generator (EDG) 01 was replaced. The diesel generator had experienced f ailures on two occasions. See Special Reports 2-SR-93-004 and 2-SR-94-001.

01/19 1500 Due to intermittent problems associated with Turbine Spt > s input to electro-hydraulic control (EHC) causing minor turbine load swirgs, reduced power to 98% with EHC at 98% and mechanical hydrauhc control (MHC) at 100%.' With MHC at 100%, an upward load swing weutd be hmited by the MHC control system and mainta:ned at 100%

01/29 0600 Commenced operation at 80% power for fuel cycle optimization purposes.

01/31 2400 Unit ended month in MODE 1.
