Under separate cover we are transmitting an application for amendment to the Operating License No. NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1. Three (J) original and forty (40) conformed copies of the transmittal sheet together with forty-three (43) copies of the applica-tion are included.

This application identifies the changes which should be made to the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1 Technical Specification to reflect the installation of the redundant emergency diesel generator fuel storage tanks. This modification to the emergency diesel generator fuel oil storage and transfer system ic identified in paragraph 2.C.(3)(b) of License No. NPF-3 as a cordition which must be met by August 22, 1977. These modifications have been made and issuance of the requested technical specification changes will allow the new system to replace the common fuel storage system.
