the Draft Fire: Protection SER open. item on voluntary loss of offsite power for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station..At the meeting, Toledo Edison
- committed:toLrevise both'the Serious Station Fire.(DB-0P-02501) and Control-Room Fire (DB-0P-02519) procedures. The Serious Station Fire procedure lre' vision nov recommends manual stripping of non-essential loads on both trains
-i rather than inducing a voluntary loss of offsite power to perform the bus

- alignment. The' Control Room Fire procedure revision recommends manual
- stripping.of non-essential loads on the protected train and stripping,offsite-power from the unprotected train. These changes will keep offsite: power 1
aligned if it is'available.
In addition, the required reading associated with-s the procedure revisions was committed to be completed prior to entry into j

closed.

Toledo Edison is preparing a License Amendment Request per the guidance r
contained in-NRC Generic Letters 86-10, " Implementation of Fire Protection l
Requirements" dated April 24, 1986, and 88-12, " Removal of Fire Protection y
' Requirements from Technical Specifications" dated August 2, 1988, to relocate 0 f
- the Fire Protection Technical Specifications and to update the Fire Protection l
A License Condition. Toledo Edison anticipates that this submittal vill be made l
Lvithin six months of the NRC's issuance of the Fire Protection SER.
