same subject, dated October-6; 1988 In Reference 1) the Supply System was required to report to the NRC on the status of the subject monitor by July 29, 1988 and quarterly thereafter. The purpose was to report actions taken to ensure the installation of a fully qualified neutron flux monitoring instrumentation system to be completed at the earliest possible date. In References 2) and 3) the Supply System provided the initial and first quarterly reports. The purpose of this letter is to provide the next quarterly report as required.

During the last quarter the Supply System received a number of test reports from Gamma-Metrics. These test reports are presently being reviewed by the Supply System staff. There is a possibility that some additional testing may be required on the amplifier, located in secondary containment. This may delay the Supply System's final acceptance of the Wide Range Neutron Monitor system beyond the present commitment date. The final results of this review will be discussed in our next quarterly report.

The next required quarterly report will be submitted by April 7, 1989.
