1997 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE SCENARIO PACKAGE

Dear Mr. Degger:

We have reviewed your letter dated September 8,1997, and the enciesed scenario package for the Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station biennial emergency preparedness exercise scheduled for November 5,1997.

Based on our review, we determined that the exercise scenario is appropriate to meet emergency plan r64uirements and exercise objectives. ' Minor questions were resolved during an October 21,1997, telephone di.;cussion with Messrs. J. Lewis and S. Lubinski of your staff.

We contacted the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region VI, during our review.

Mr. E. Boaze had no comments for us to relay to you.
