Dear Mr. Hendrie:

NW I am writing to inquire whether the North Anna Nuclear Power Plant located in Louisa County, Virginia is one of the reactors which the commission is consider-ing closing in light of its proximity to large popula-tion centers (including Richmond, Lynchburg and Washing-ton).

If no decision has been reached, either as to whether any presently operating reactor may have to be shutdown because of their proximity to population can-ters,,or whether the North Anna plant is one of those that might have to be shutdown, I would appreciate your advising me of the status of your inquiry regarding this important question, and whether the commission is pre-sently operating pursuant to a time table for the deter-mination of these matters.
