SUMMARY

OF EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC BY VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY JANUARY 1 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1999 On February 23, 1999, Virginia Power reported (Event No. 35396) that a contract supervisor at Surry Power Station had been arrested offsite and charged with possession of a controlled substance. On March 1, 1999, Virginia Power updated this report when the for-cause testing results for this supervisor were confirmed positive for an illegal drug.
