I urge you to take every reasonable step pcssible to excedite licensing of Virginia Electric Power Company's North Anna No. 2 nuclear unit.
At the present time Vepco is greatly dependent on oil to meet its electric generation needs.
This extremely high import of foreign oil. is not only br.nkrupting our nation, but also the consumers here in Eastern North Carolina, who ultimately have to pay the high cost of imported oil.
5 If it's safe, let them cut it on.
If it is not safe, tell them what to do to get it right.
We need not only lower. cost of energy in our area, but an adecuate supply to carry.us through the winter months.
