SUBJECT: NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-338/99-03,50-339/99-03

Dear Mr. O'Hanlon:

On June 5,1999, the NRC completed an inspection at your North Anna Power Station. The

enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.

During the six weeks covered by this inspection period, your conduct of activities at the North l

Anna Power. Station was generally characterized by safety-conscious plant operations, good j

maintenance, engineering, and plant support work practices.

Based on the results of this inspection, the NRC has determined that a violation of NRC

requirements occurred. The violation ~is being treated as a Non-Cited Violation (NCV), j

consistent with Appen' dix 0 of the Enforcement Policy. The NCV is described in the subject

inspection report. If you contest the violation or severity level of the NCV, you should provide a

response within 30 days of the date of this inspection report, with the basis for your denial, to

the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN: Document Control Desk,

Washington, DC 20555-0001, with copies to the Regional Administrator, Region ll, and the

Director, Office of Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington,

DC 20555-0001.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its

enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
