Dear Mr. Denton:
Enclosed for your information and use if that LaSalle County Station Unit 1, Cycle 2 Startup Test Report Summary. This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specifications 6.6.A.1.
LaSalle Unit 1 began Cycle 2 commercial operation on September 18, 1986, following a refueling and maintenance outage. The Unit 1 Cycle 2 reload consisted of 232 General Electric barrier (pre-pressuirzed 8x8, GE7B) fuel assemblies, plus 532 assemblies from Cycle 1.
A comprehensive startup testing program was performed during unit startup and power ascension.
Any unusual startup test results or conditions were investigated and rectified during the course of the startup test program. Startup test results met all procedural acceptance criteria and complied with all applicable Technical Specifications.
The startup test data presented in this report (Attachment A) contains evaluations from the following startup tests;
- Core verification
- Shutdown Margin Subcritical Demonstration
- Shutdown Margin Test
- Checking for Reactivity Anomalies
- Scram Insertion Times
