SUBJECT:
LaSalle County Station Security Plan Revision in accordanon with 10 CFR 50.4(b)(4), enclosed is the original and three (3) copies of Revision 60 of the Commonwealth Edison (Comed) Company LaSalle County Station Security Plan.
This revision includes the following changes:
Elimination of the requirement for an annual change-out of Vital and Protected Area keys and locks. This change reflects the current 10 CFR 73 requirements.
Re-configuration of the Protected Area fence around the North Access Facility and updating of the associated card readers to conform to the existing requirements and configuration for personnel ingress to and egress from the Protected Area. This change allows personnel access to the North Access Facility as necessary to support plant operation.
As required by 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), we have concluded that these changes do not l
decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the Security Plan.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), this revision was implemented on December 31,1998; therefore, this description of the change is required to be submitted by March 1,1999.
