The FSAR revisions contained in Amendment 58 result from the following:

o Revision to FSAR Section 1.9 regarding the Plant Safety Parameter Display System, Instrumentation for Detection of Inadequate Core Cooling and Performance Testing of Relief and Safety Valves which were previously submitted via PSNH letters dated January 6,1986 (SBN-920), February 24, 1986 (SBN-952) and March 17, 1986 (SBN-969) respectively.

o Revision to FSAR Sections 3.9(B), 6.8, 7.4, 9.2, 10.3, 15.0 and 15.2 regarding Emergency Feedwater System changes, which was previ-ously submitted via PSNH letter dated April 1,1986 (SBN-984).

o Revision to FSAR Chapter 13 and Section 17.2 which was previously submitted via PSNH letter dated March 27, 1986 (SBN-975).

o Revision to FSAR Section 3.9(B) regarding seismic qualification Qg of equipment which was previously submitted via PSNH letter dated ago March 20, 1986 (SBN-975).

o Revision to FSAR Section 7.4 regarding Instrumentation and Control for Safe Shutdown (SER 0I#11) which was previously submitted via PSNH letter dated December 31,1985 (SBN-917).

o Revision to FSAR Section 14.2 regarding the static rod drop test, the pseudo-rod ejection test and the negative rate trip test.

This includes changes previously submitted via PSNH letter dated February 5,1986 (SBN-940).

o Deletion of FSAR Appendix 3B and addition of a reference to Section 3.6(B).3.

o Revision of FSAR Sections 9.3 and 9.5 regarding the addition of safety grade backup air supplies, emergency lighting and a change in design of the diesel generation exhaust piping.

o Revision to FSAR Section 15.3.3 regarding the RCP locked rotor anal ys is.

o Updating of Table 3.2-2 and 11.5-3 (eg. where applicable replacing later, identifying specific mfg. stds. etc) o Revisions to the FSAR which were submitted previously via PSNH letter but which are not specifically identified herein.

o Revisions to the Radiological Emergency Plans including those previously submitted via PSNH letter dated March 6, 1985 (SBN-962) o Miscellaneous and minor editorial changes.

It should be noted that an Amendment 57 to the March 30, 1973, Application to Construct and Operate was issued regarding a request for partial transfer of Construction Permits. Accordingly, there will be no FSAR Amendment 57.

Within 10 days, Amendment 58 will be distributed by prepaid delivery service to the recipients of the FSAR, which were specified in Reference (b).
