                                                                                    -o Consumers Power Company is a participating member of both the B&W 177 Fuel Assembly Dwners Group and the 3LW Owners Group far Nonoperating License Plants.

I ag a member of the AIF Policy Cormittee on Follow-up to the Three Mlle Island Accident and Chairman of the Subco==ittee on Control Roo".. Considerations. Dr. T. J. Sullivan, Chairman of the NSTF, assisted at the TMI site following the accident and is a tenber of the AIF Subcorrittee on Plant Recovery and is the designated CP Co coordinator for EP!J NSAC activities. In addition, one of our NSTF encineers vill participate in the joint NEC-ANS '.IF cfrort to draft a standard on post-accident monitoring instrumentation. With re~ gard t o issues previously identified during the NEC Staf f's review of the Midland OL application, we nave evaluated tl s impa t of TMI-2 en these issues an't t.te Project is proceeding with resolution c f these iters either en a unilateral basis to the best of our ability or as par , of the normal licensing process to the extent that 33C Staff rescurces have been made available. Consurers Power is prepared to support the NEC Staff's review of the Midland OL application, taking into account the impact of the TMI-2 accident , on an expe-dited basis as soon as NRC reviewers can be nade available.
