  • ate test was pe"formad on the ADS valves' air supply accumulator check valves.

Results of this test were relayed to the A/E for analysis.

Nature of Occue"ence The A/E determined that the leakage rates that ware found were unacceptable and that a loss of air supply to the ADS valves could "esult in inope-ability of ADS within one half houa.

The p"ocedure that dealt with the opeaator's response to an air supply low pressure alaam did not address this condition.

Immediata Co-rective Action Since taken.

Unit 2 is in cold shutdown no immediate action has been Cause j

Imoact to Other Unit Leakage aates of the Unit 1 accumulator check valves are not known; howevea, a leak rate test is scheduled for the next cold shutdown of sufficient duaation. In addition, the Unit 1 p"ocedure has been aevised to call for a declaration of AD9 inoperability upon an drywell pneumatic air supol.v low pressure alarm.

Justi*1 cation for continued Ooeration Unit 2 is present1v in cold shutdown.
