CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTION / COMMENTS:

'l NARRATIVE REPORT Unit 1 operated at rated thermal power for most of the month of February. Shift reduced load to approximately 620 GMWe on 2/21/98 to perform a control rod sequence exchange, scram time testing, and control rod drive cxercises on selected control rod drives. Inspection and maintenance were also performed in the condenser bay.

Shift further reduced load to approximately 510 GMWe on 2/21/98 to remove "B" Reactor Feedwater Pump from service to replace a bushing on the Torque Arm Assembly. "B" Reactor Feedwater Pump was returned to service tnd the unit was returned to rated thermal power on 2/22/98. Shift reduced power to approximately 97% of rated thermal on 2/23/98 to perform a rod pattern adjustment. The unit was returned to rated thermal power on 2/23/98.
