CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTIONICOMMENTS:

NARRATIVE REPORT Activities associated with the 14th Refueling OutQe continued into the month of November. The outage was extended past the scheduled end date due to the retthing of the Moisture Separator Reheaters. The outage ended when the operating shift placed the r enerator on line on 11/10/98 and began accension to 2686 CMWth.

Short delays were experierced during the p ower ascension process to address interface problems between the Process Computer and the Transversing incore Probes, reps the oil filter transfer valve for the "B" Reactor

Feed Pump Turbine, and repair a steam le ak from a drain line associated with the 2nd Stage of the "D" Moisture SIparator Reheater. Shift began Extended Power Uprate Testing (2763 CMWth licensed) on 11/16 with 24 hour2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
h
Id periods at various power levels before reaching 2686 CMWth on 11/20. The unit experienced a brief load reduction during unit performance testing due to increasing temperatures in the Circulating Water System later on 11/20. While at reduced load the shift performed a rod pattern adjustment and ramped back to 2686 CMWth.

[- The unit was taken to 2708 CMWth on 11/23 as Extended Power Uprate Testing continued and returned to 2686 CMWth on 11/24. A load reduction was initiated on 11/28 to set the high speed stops on the Reactor R: circulation System and another load reduction to 2558 CMWth was initiated on 11/30 to remove the "C" Cooling

Tower from service and remove collapsed fill traterial from the cold water basins.
