Plant E. I. Hatch iM-80-964 Special Report Docket No. 50-366 HPCI INJECTION INTO REACTOR On 9-8-80 at approx.imately 1255 following a reactor scram, HPCI auto initiated and injected due te low reactor water level. Low reactor water leyel was caused by MSIV closure which causes reactor scram, .*

loss of RFPT, and increase in reactor pressure. HPCI was allowed to return reactor water level to normal. HPCI was then secured and placed in standby.

' As of the date of this report, there have been (15) HPCI injections into the reactor vessel.
