- O PM-80-455 April 24, 1980 Special Report Docket No. 50-366 HPCI INJECTION INTO REACTOR At 0620 on 2-6-80 HPCI was manually started and injected into the Reactor vessel to maintain Reactor vessel water inventory following trip of the
'i Reactor feed pump. Only one Reactor feed pump was running and it tripped j
on low vacuum because the Reactor feed pump loop scal was lost. RCIC was also injecting during this time but it was not adequate under the conditions t.o maintain proper water level. IIPCI was shutdown and returned to standby condition at 0742. It was operated for (1) hour and 22 minutes.
As of the date of this report t.here have been (10) IIPCI injections into the Reactor vessel.
