Ntification of Reportable Occurrence NOTIFIED: Virgil Brownlee No. 50-321/1981-093.

DATE: September 22, 1931 TIME: 1300 Hours EST DESCRIPil0V GF REPORTASLE OCCURRENCE Initial Condition At time of the occurrence (Septeaber 21,1931, at 1700 flours CST), Unit I was j
operating at 99 power.

_Natu_re of Occurrenc_e:
l While perforaing surge 111ance procedure HNP-1-3414, RCIC Turbine Exhaust Dia-phragm Pressure Instrtment functional Test and Calibration, it was found that switches E51-N012A-D actuated outside the accept.ance criteria allowed in Tech Specs.
Tech Spec 3.2-3, Iten 10, requires actuation at 510 psig. All switthes actuated above this point.
E51-N012A, B, C and D actuated at 10.4, 11.25, 14.2 and 13.4 psig respectively.
Immediate Corrective Action:
All RCIC Turbine bhaust Diaphragu High Pressure Switches were recalibrated per HNP-1-5279, Barksdale Pressure Switch Calibration Prot.adure,and are now within the acceptable tolerances es allowed per Tech Specs.
Cause:
Setpoint drif t can be attributed as the cause of this occurrence.

Impact to Other Un!_t_s:
This occorrence is applicable to Unit 11 because Unit II uses the sarre type of Barksdale Pressure Switches for RCIC Turbine Exhaust Diaphrage. High Pressure.
HNP-2-3414 was performed on Septer4ber 1$,1931, with satisfactory results.
Justification for Continued Operation:
Continued operation is justified due to the recalibration of the RCIC Turbine Exhause Diaphragm High Pressure Switches.
