  • The strainer in the Stator Cooling Water system was replaced. The unit was tied to the grid and returned to rated thermal power later that day.

NARRATIVE REPORT Shift continued the load reduction which began on 9/30/98 in preparation for removing the Main Generator from the grid to replace a strainer in the Stator Cooling Water system. Shift manually tripped the Main Turbine on 10/1/98 with the unit at approximately 120 GMWe. The strainer in the Stator Cooling Water system was replaced. The unit was tied to the grid and returned to rated thermal power later that day. Shift maintained rated thermal power for the remainder of the month.

CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTION / COMMENTS:

NARRATIVE REPORT Activibes associated with the 14th Refueling Outage continued throughout the month of October. The outage was extended past the scheduled end date due to the Moisture Separator Reheaters retube project taking longer to complete than originally scheduled.
