l CAUSE/ CORRECTIVE ACTION / COMMENTS:

NARRATIVE REPORT Unit 2 began the month of December operating at reduced load while the "C" Cooling Tower was out of service to f:cilitate removal of damaged fill material. The tower was returned to service December 1st and the unit returned l to cperation at 2686 CMWt. Shift personnel reentered the Extended Power Uprate Test Procedure on December .

2nd and increased unit thermal power to 2708 CMWt. Shift briefly reduced load on December 5th to perform I Turbine Stop Valve and Combined Intermediate Valve Testing. The next load reduction occurred on December I 8th when an air line leak caused the low level control valvo for the 8th Stage "B" Feedwater Heater to fait closed I resulting in a heater level transient in several feedwater heaters. The air line leak was repaired, proper operation of feedwater heater level restored and the unit returned to operation at 2708 CMWt within a couple of hours. Shift j briefly reduced load on the 19th and 26th of December to ensure thermal limit margins while performing Control Rod Drive Exercises and on 23rd to backwash and precoat the "D" Condensate Demineralizer Vessel. Otherwise, operation was maintained at 2708 CMWt for the month of December.
