Dear Mr. Thomas:
I received your letter of September 19, 1983 yesterday requesting that we submit changes to our Security Plan dated December 20, 1980 within 30 days.
It has only taken the Commission 32 months to review the plan and you expect us to respond in 30 days. It takes a week for your request to arrive and a week for our response to reach you. This leaves only two weeks to prepare the requested material which is not possible.
I herewith request an extension of the submittal date to November 15, 1983.
Please also advise if the material should be sent to your office or to Region V in view of the responsibility change that takes place on October 1, 1983.
