Dear Mr. Scarano:

In accordance with the agreement reached during a recent conference telephone call between members of your staff, myself, and Reactor Licensing, W.S,U, proposes to rectify the problem relating to the CMi calibration by requesting a change in the W.S.U. facility technical specifications. Specifically, a change to section 4.33 on Radiation Monitoring Systems Surveillance require-ments to specify a " channel check" for the CM1 rather than a full calibration is being requested. The change will more correctly describe the surveillance activities being carried out on the CAM system which licensing agrees are adequata.

Sincerely,

'h W. E. Wilson Associate Director WEW:cfm O321 831130 0 k KOCK 05000027 PDR
