Dear Mr. Montgomery:
In response to the Notice of Violation of July 9,1986 relating to the type of lock used on the Security Storage Container at the WSU reactor facility, the following information is provided:
- 1. The corrective action taken was to obtain and install a Sargent and Greenleaf Inc. changeable combination padlock, federal specification FF-P-110 of 1985, lock type 8077A CLl/CL2. This lock is the only GSA approved lock 'for use on Security Storage Containers.
- 2. Use of the lock mentioned above will avoid further violations.
- 3. The above-mentioned lock was installed on June 24, 1986 achieving full compliance before the notice of violation was officially transmitted to the facility.
