Dear Mr. Chairman:

This is in response to your letter of July 31, 1986 requesting that your staff be kept fully informed of all proceedings in .

developments related to the Shoreham, Seabrook and Pilgrim nuclear power plants.

The Commission is aware of your interest in the above plants as well as of its obligations to keep the Subcommittee and other oversight committees fully.and currently informed of NRC activities. Be assured that the Commission will provide you with copies of significant documents as quickly as possible. In all cases for major Commission decisions and orders, this should be no later than the morning after the day they are actually issued a'nd served on the parties.

The staff in the Office of Congressional Affairs has been J directed to pay particular attention to your interest in Shoreham, Seabrook and Pilgrim and to arrange to provide your staff with Region I inspection reports of the Pilgrim plant when they are available.
