Dear Mr. Chairman:

As you know, as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy conservation and Power, I have more than an abiding interest in -

developments related especially to the Shoreham, Seabrook and Pilgrim nuclear power plants.. As we are at a critical time in the resolution of the issues surrounding each of these plants, and as-I indicated to you in my letter of June 11, 1986, it is especially' important that my staff be kept fully informed of all proceedings '

in these cases as they happen,' and that they receive all documentation related to these plants in a timely manner.

Therefore, I am writing to request that your staff inform my Subcommittiee staff in advance of any and all meetings of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board,.the Atomic Safety and Licensing AppealBoardandtheCommissionrelatedtoanyissuesinvolfng the Shoreham, Seabrook, and Pilgrim plants. Additionally, I would like my staff to receive all decisions, orders and, in the case of Pilgrim, inspection reports, related to these plants promptly on the day on which they are issued. If your staff encounters logistical problems in delivering these documents, please direct them to contact my staff so alternate delivery arrangements can be made.
