FEMA SUPPORT FOR NRC LICENSING 0F SHOREHAM NUCLEAR POWER STATION Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) has submitted Revision 10 of the offsite plan for Shoreham Nuclear Power Station (SNPS) for review. The plan, "SNPS Local Offsite Radiological Emergency Response Plan," Revision 10, has been provided to you separately.
In a memorandum from F. J. Congel to R. W. Krimm dated JanuaryIn27, 1988, we that memorandum, requested that FEMA review Revision 9 of the Shoreham plan.
we specified the criteria and assumptions to be used in the evaluation of the plan. In accordance with the April 9, 1985 NRC/ FEMA Memorandum of Understanding, we request that FEMA provide finditgs on whether Revision 10 of the Shoreham plan meets the criteria described in the January 27 memorandum. It is our under-standing, based on previous discussions between our staffs, that FEMA will evaluate the full participation exercise scheduled for June 7-9, 1988 against Revision 10.
Based on discussions between our staffs we understand that FEMA will provide its findings on Revision 10 by July 29, 1988.
