ISSUANCE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT OF A SCHEDULAR EXEMPTION FROM THE REVISED REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR PART 20 FOR THE SHOREHAM NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 1 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issueo an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact in response to your July 6, 1993, request for an exemption, pursuant to the provisions in 10 CFR 20.2301, from the requirements in 10 CFR 20.1001 through 20.2401 of the Code of Federal Regulations for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1. Following publication of the Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact in the Federal-Register, the schedular exemption can be granted.

Enclosed is a copy of the Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact that was forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
