APPROVAL OF DECOMMISSIONING PLAN CHANGE The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has reviewed LIPA's letter LSNRC-2016 dated December 4, 1992, and supplemental letter LSNRC-2017 dated December 14, 1992, requesting approval for changes to the Shoreham Decommissioning Plan regarding decommissioning of the existing liquid radwaste redundant systems identified in Figures 1 and 2 of LSNRC-2017. The staff has completed its review of the proposed changes in LSNRC-2016 and LSNRC-2017 and is approving the removal of redundant systems to the liquid radwaste system. The staff is also approving the proposed modification _ that would require installing temporary piping to connect Sump TK-CS3A to Sump TK-071, and the modification that would require installing temporary piping to connect Sump TK-053A to Sump TK-071.
