This refees'to the' routine safeguards inspection conducted by
Messrs. W. T. Olsen and T. W. Dexter of this office on August 21-24, 1989, at
Wading River, New York of activities authorized by NRC License No. .NPF-19, and
to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Olsen with you and other
members of your; staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this in'spection are described in the NRC Region I

Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.

representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the
