Dear Mr. Pack:

The Long Island Lighting Company has filed an application for licenses to construct and operate a nuclear power reactor at its site on the north shore of Long Island in the town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York.

Copies of Volumas I, II, III and IV of the Preliminry Safety Analysis Report are enclosed for your review. We would ap-preciate receiving the results of a review by the Air Resources Environmental Laboratory concerning the meteorological aspects of the proposed reactor location which might have a bearing upon cur safety review.
