Ret Director's Pinal Findings and Orders for use of H-130 and CL-37 Cooling Vater Additives for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant OEPA Permit No.

3IB00016DD

Dear Mr. Magni,

In accordance with the Director's Final Findings and Orders, the following is a report of the monitoring and toxicity data obtained during the Perry Nuclear Power Plant's H-130 treatment, conducted on September 30, 1992.

Grab samples of the etfluent vere collected every hour during the treatment

. from a point dovnstream of the detoxification site. Note that one sample concentration (0.05 ppm) was above the concentration stated in the Orders (0.04 ppm). Analysis results are shown in Attachment 1.

A composite sample of the effluent was collected during the H-130 treatment and used to conduct acute toxicity tests. Control samples vere collected at both the intake and discharge prior to treatment. Results of these tests _ indicate that the effluent was not toxic to the study organisms. Test results are compiled in Attachment 2.

The use of CL-37 to reduce foam was not required.
