SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR SEPTEMBER 2003 A. UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
On September 7, 2003 at approximately 0500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to 64 percent electrical output to perform control rod sequence exchanges and a planned Isolation Condenser Test. The Unit was returned to full power operation on September 7, 2003, at approximately 1300 hours0.015 days <br />0.361 hours <br />0.00215 weeks <br />4.9465e-4 months <br />.
On September 28, 2003, at approximately 0500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to 73 percent electrical output to perform maintenance on a reactor feed pump and perform reactor feedwater level control tuning.
While at reduced load, on September 30 at approximately 2013 hours0.0233 days <br />0.559 hours <br />0.00333 weeks <br />7.659465e-4 months <br />, the Unit scrammed from a loss of one of the two operating reactor feed pumps. The Unit responded as expected to the scram and did not return to service during the remainder of the month.
With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 2 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
B. UNIT 3 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
On September 27, 2003, at approximately 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 75 percent electrical output to perform control rod pattern adjustments. The Unit was returned to full power operation on September 29, 2003, at approximately 0400 hours0.00463 days <br />0.111 hours <br />6.613757e-4 weeks <br />1.522e-4 months <br />.
With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrence, Unit 3 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
