SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR JANUARY 2003 A. UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On January 10, 2003, power was reduced to approximately 60 percent to perform maintenance on the scram solenoid pilot valves of the control rod drive system.-,

The unit was returned to full power on January 13, 2003.

With the exception of the above, Unit 2 operated at full power throughout the reporting period with the exception of short periods for routine maintenance and surveillances.

B. UNIT 3 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On January 17, 2003, power was reduced to approximately 60 percent to perform power suppression testing to locate a leaking fuel rod within the reactor core. The test results were used to determine the general vicinity of the leaking assembly.

The unit was returned to full power on January 20, 2003.

With the exception of the above, Unit 3 operated at full power throughout the reporting period with the exception of short periods for routine maintenance and surveillances.
