SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR MARCH - 2005 A. UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On March 12, at approximately 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 62% electrical output to perform turbine valve testing, control rod scram time testing, and a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 1300 hours0.015 days <br />0.361 hours <br />0.00215 weeks <br />4.9465e-4 months <br /> on March 13.

On March 24, at approximately 0500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br />, the unit experienced a Primary Containment Group 1 isolation and subsequent reactor scram due to a malfunction of the Electrohydraulic Control system. The unit returned online at approximately 2000 on March 27 and returned to full power operation at approximately 2300 hours0.0266 days <br />0.639 hours <br />0.0038 weeks <br />8.7515e-4 months <br /> on March 28.

On March 29, at approximately 2300 hours0.0266 days <br />0.639 hours <br />0.0038 weeks <br />8.7515e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 79% electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment that was required due to the forced outage. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 0400 hours0.00463 days <br />0.111 hours <br />6.613757e-4 weeks <br />1.522e-4 months <br /> on March 30.

With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance and surveillances, Unit 2 operated at full power for the remainder of the reporting period.
