l. SUMMNIARY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR AUGUST - 2004 A. UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On August 8, at approximately 0300 hours0.00347 days <br />0.0833 hours <br />4.960317e-4 weeks <br />1.1415e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 97% electrical output due to high turbine-generator bearing vibration. Additional power reductions occurred until approximately 0600 on August 14 when the unit was taken offline to repair a crack in the main generator housing. The unit returned online at approximately 2100 on August 21, but was held at approximately 78% electrical output due to high turbine-generator bearing vibrations. It remained at this output until the end of the month.

With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 2 operated at full power throughout the reporting period.

B. UNIT 3 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On August 8, at approximately 0000 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 68% electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 2200 hours0.0255 days <br />0.611 hours <br />0.00364 weeks <br />8.371e-4 months <br />.

On August 22, at approximately 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 76% electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 1100 hours0.0127 days <br />0.306 hours <br />0.00182 weeks <br />4.1855e-4 months <br />.

With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 3 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
