SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR OCTOBER - 2004 A. UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On October 2, at approximately 0200 hours0.00231 days <br />0.0556 hours <br />3.306878e-4 weeks <br />7.61e-5 months <br />, the unit was taken offline to balance the main generator rotor to reduce high bearing vibration. However, the reactor remained at power during this time. The unit returned online at approximately 1400, and achieved full power operation at approximately 1000 on October 3.

On October 9, at approximately 0000 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 89%

electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 0500.

On October 28, at approximately 0700 hours0.0081 days <br />0.194 hours <br />0.00116 weeks <br />2.6635e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 83%

electrical output due to high turbine generator bearing vibration. The unit remained at this power level for the remainder of the month.

With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 2 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.

B. UNIT 3 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

On October 3, at approximately 1700 hours0.0197 days <br />0.472 hours <br />0.00281 weeks <br />6.4685e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 34%

electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment and main generator rotor thermal sensitivity testing. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 1400 hours0.0162 days <br />0.389 hours <br />0.00231 weeks <br />5.327e-4 months <br /> on October 6.

On October 17, at approximately 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 86%

electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at approximately 1000.

On October 26, at approximately 0500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br />, the unit was taken offline to perform a scheduled refueling outage. It remained offline for the remainder of the month.

With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 3 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
