UNIT 2 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
On December 4, 2003, at 0400 hours0.00463 days <br />0.111 hours <br />6.613757e-4 weeks <br />1.522e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 90%
electrical output to perform control rod maintenance and testing. The unit returned to full power operation at 0500 hours0.00579 days <br />0.139 hours <br />8.267196e-4 weeks <br />1.9025e-4 months <br />.
On December 12, 2003, at 0000 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br />, the unit was shutdown due to a failure of the stator cooling water temperature control valve. The outage was completed and the unit returned online at 1200 on December 13, 2003, and returned to full power operation at 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br /> on December 15, 2003.
On December 17, 2003, at 0300 hours0.00347 days <br />0.0833 hours <br />4.960317e-4 weeks <br />1.1415e-4 months <br />, load was reduced to approximately 90%
electrical output to perform a control rod pattern adjustment. The unit returned to full power operation at 0400 hours0.00463 days <br />0.111 hours <br />6.613757e-4 weeks <br />1.522e-4 months <br />.
With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 2 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
B.
UNIT 3 MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE
SUMMARY
Since the beginning of December, the unit was operating at the pre-Extended Power Up-rate Power level, approximately 85%, due to potential steam dryer concerns. On December 6, 2003, at 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />, the unit was shutdown to perform repairs and modifications to the steam dryer. The outage was completed and the unit returned online at 2300 on December 20, 2003, with the unit reaching full power at 2000 on December 22, 2003.
With the exception of short periods for routine maintenance, surveillances and the above occurrences, Unit 3 operated at full power throughout the remainder of the reporting period.
