SUMMARY

G-I was opened on 10/9104 at 0001. Startup is scheduled for mid November.

I&C continues to train / qualify and perform outage calibrations and functional checks on primary and secondary systems. We also have been supporting the major projects scheduled for the outage such as Head Replacement, RXPROT relay replacements and crane performance. We also have been performing AOV diagnostic testing resulting in improved AOV performance.

Mechanical Maintenance performed a full core offload and reload sequence in support of Westinghouse Spilt Pin, 10 Year ISI, and Head Replacement Projects. Also performed rebuilds on Diesel Generators A and B, RHR B Pump, and Feedwater Pump A.

Replaced the seals on both Reactor Coolant Pumps A and B. Replaced diaphragms in various CVC Valves. Performed a DCR to change out springs and test various safety and relief valves in the CC System. The Main Steam Safeties were tested. Three different groups of snubbers were tested and rebuilt as required. Main Steam Isolation Valves were opened and inspected. Various valves and flanges were inspected and rebuilt based on the boric acid leakage reduction program. The Main Condensers were cleaned, inspected, and plugged as required.

Electrical Maintenance performed over 480 work activities during KNPP Refueling Outage 27. Of particular note were >215 PMs (non MOV):

• A Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) Motor Oil Leak and RTD repairs

• A & B RCP Motor PMs

• A & B Emergency Diesel Generator PMs

• A & B Safeguard Battery Full Load Test

• Main Aux Transformer PMs and Bushing & Bus Repairs

• Completed the Replacement of 7 Safety Related 48OVac Breakers

• Performed 85 Corrective & Elective Work Orders on various other equipment/projects MOV: 132 Work Activities on 41 Motor Operated Valves
