Kewaunee Power Station NRC License No. DPR-43 NRC Docket Nos. 50-305 & 72-64 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CPR 50.54, "Conditions of licenses," paragraph (p)(2),
Kewaunee Solutions (KS) is submitting changes to the Kewaunee Power Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 5 (the Plan) as the enclosure to this letter. The Revision Summary of the Plan provided in the enclosure describes each change. Changes to this document were implemented on June 28, 2022. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2) KS is submitting these changes within two months of implementation.
On May 10, 2021, EnergySolutions, LLC (ES) and Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK)
(collectively, the Applicants) submitted a license transfer application (LTA) for the Kewaunee Power Station (KPS) (Accession No. ML21131A141). The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the transfer of License No. DPR-43 for the KPS by order dated March 31, 2022 (the Order, Accession No. ML22014A392). The closing of the transfer occurred on June 28, 2022. The Kewaunee Power Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan was revised at that time to reflect the change in KPS ownership and operation including the new KS organization and security management positions.
KS has concluded that the changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the Plan.
